Hair Terminology

READ THE PRODUCT LABEL

Different words. Different details.

Use each term for the attribute it describes. A luxury label should never replace product-specific information.

Human hair, raw and virgin.

Human hair describes fiber composition. In the current Majestic catalog, products labeled raw are described as unprocessed. Virgin is used on the HD lace-piece listings. These labels do not, by themselves, confirm one donor, a particular lifespan, a country of origin or a specific bleaching result.

Read the full item description and ask when the processing history is not specified. A raw-hair statement from one bundle collection does not automatically apply to colored wigs or other products.

SDD and density.

Our existing SDD listings expand the abbreviation as Super Double Drawn. That designation is separate from the numeric density labels used on some wigs. SDD does not tell you that a wig is 200%, 250% or 300% density; use the density stated on that product, when supplied.

Origin and donor information.

Vietnamese, Burmese and Indonesian appear in different product listings. Country labels do not establish a universal texture or single-donor status. Where a donor claim is absent, we do not add one.

What is included matters.

Check whether the price is for one bundle, a complete wig, a closure, a frontal or a clearly described set. Bundle weight is not the same as total install weight or packed shipping weight.
